Kashmir...Part 2: Land of War
Kashmir...most beautiful land I have ever seen, should have been most peaceful place ever created. But unfortunately this land is burning with fire; fire of weapon, fire of anger. To explain the real scenario let me give a overview of history of Kashmir.
Overview of History

Islam entered in Kashmir in the 14th century and was under Islamic role of Khilafah with justice until British occupied Kashmir fully and bought it under British India. In earlier land of Kashmir was dominated by Buddhism and later by Hinduism. Since Islam entered to this land people converted to Islam seeing the beauty of Islam. The conquerors of the land also stayed there. Because of high conversion, Islam became dominant religion on the land. People of all religion ware living under Islamic rule with harmony. And now Kashmir is the only Indian state with Muslim majority. In occupied kashmir valley Muslim population is about 95 %,where in azad kashmir Muslim population is 99 %.
Since British left subcontinent, they left the land on a disputed manner. Now three different countries have control over Kashmir. India occupied 101,387 km² of the disputed territory, Pakistan controls 85,846 km² and China, the remaining 37,555 km².Meanwhile people of Kashmir fighting for justice.
Current Status
As I visited the occupied land so I got some idea of current situation of the land. As of 1997 more than 350,000 Indian soldiers were deployed throughout Kashmir. More than 500 military camps a spread over the land. In Srinagar, numbers of soldiers are as similar to its number of indigenes. Policemen standing like wolf in every ten steps. Because of miserable oppression some of the people left heir home, some lost their relatives. But people of Kashmir are not given up, they are fighting with bravery. It was difficult for me to take pictures of military. I had only few pictures taken that resemble worst situation of the police state.
